Apply the principle of laser particle counter
Generally, light scattering measurement using laser is for particle counter. First, by using the vacuum pump inside the particle counter, the outside air is sucked in by the speed of 0.1CFM (cubit feet per minute)/2.83 LPM (liter per minute) and passes, through the inner pipe, in front of the laser inside the particle counter. Laser travels straight in clean air. The light is scattered when it hits dusts, and the size of the particle can be found by measuring the scattered particle(amount of scattered light. In other words, the number of particles can be found by the number of laser scatterings, and the size of dust can be found by the amount of scattering light.
Even though all manufacturers design with same principle, the performance of the product is decided by sample's speed, flow, sensitivity of detector, range of particle size, channel of counting the number of particles, durability of laser diode or laser diode, life of light source and when the measuring of diameter selects the particle counter. Therefore, each element is important.
Flow Rate
The volume of air passing through the particle counter is indicated by cubic feet per minute or liter per minute. Generally, the liquid flow speed is 1.0 cfm and 0.1 cfm. Many techniques are included according to the liquid volume and the price of equipment varies greatly.In addition, use must be clearly defined. When measuring high density by using low density equipment, frequent cleaning may be required by service technicians. Receive the use and specification of particle counter when selecting.
Counting Efficiency
The particle density ratio is measured by the minimum particle size test device that has the counting efficiency of 100% particle density, and the measuring device must have the 50% counting efficiency in its smallest size range. Our product has 20% counting efficiency and is shipped with test paper.
Channels
It is based on the smallest particle size among the counted particles, and the measurement value is indicated by micron size. In case of 6 channel equipment, measuring is done by 0.3μm, 0.5μm, 1.0μm, 3.0μm, 5.0μm and 1.0μm, and data is saved for each size.
Zero Count Level of False Count Rate
Calculate the number of particles per minute with the most appropriate liquid volume that passed through the clean filter. The zero count ratio that is generally expected is less than 1 particles per minute.
Counting Efficiency
